It’s easy to calculate the fee for the hire of a PA system for your event. Our fee is simply based on the size of the system required and the duration of your event. Compact PA System
From $250 per day (inc. GST) : Plus $49 per hour onsite
Includes delivery, setup and operation by an experienced audio engineer

Our compact but powerful full-range PA systems are ideal for indoor and outdoor public events, corporate events, school activities, speech nights, weddings, church groups, duos, trios, small bands etc. Please see our Equipment page for full details of the equipment available in this package.

Important Information:
• Please allow 60 minutes for setup and 45 minutes for pack up of the compact PA
• Each compact PA system includes an experienced onsite audio engineer
• A cancellation less than 7 days prior to the event will incur the $250 base hire fee

Our Medium PA system delivers over 7500 watts RMS of front of house power. It is ideal for larger indoor and moderate outdoor events, original & cover bands, rock/funk bands, etc. Our Presonus StudioLive 32 Digital Mixing console with iPad remote, coupled with many amplifier channels and wedges delivers six independent foldback mixes if required. The system is also capable of providing a live multi-track recording of your performance or event. Consider turning your next live performance into your next album! Our Worx Audio PreSonus Commercial XL1 Line Array Concert PA System is the very latest in line array technology and delivers over 10000 watts RMS of front of house power. Aluminium scaffold towers are included when requested for long-throw applications. The system is ideal for large indoor and outdoor events, original & cover bands, rock bands, carols by candlelight events etc. Our Presonus StudioLive 32 Digital Mixing console with iPad remote control delivers six+ independent foldback mixes (plus optional in-ear options). The system is also capable of providing a live multi-track recording of your performance or event. The package includes an array of various microphones, including six Sennheiser EW-100 Series Wireless Microphones (Handheld or Headworn options) with dual external antenna kits. Important Information for all packages:

• The rate is based on the venue being within 50km of Melbourne CBD
• Additional transport beyond 50km of Melb CBD is charged at 60 cents / km each way
• The audio engineer will deliver, setup, operate and pack up all of the equipment
• This system is not available for hire without the engineer
• All bookings will be confirmed by email
• Payment is to be made at the conclusion of the event, unless otherwise arranged

For handheld, head-worn and lapel radio mics, projectors, screens, in-ear monitoring solutions,  backline equipment, staging, scaffolding as well as power generation and distribution equipment, please contact us for a quote (4 hour turnaround).

Operator Training

Does the quality of your PA sound poor?  Do you have regular bursts of feedback or other problems?

Often these issues can be solved by competently training your PA system operators.

ABP Audio runs audio system training onsite on YOUR equipment to ensure your operators feel comfortable come performance, service or event time. Training for system operators runs for a duration of 3 hours and features hands-on instruction and operation time for all participants as well as a printed colour booklet with practical guides on system operation.  

From $99 per 3 hour session (inc. GST) : Plus $49 per person (min. of 4 participants)

• Maximum number of participants limited to 10 to ensure adequate instruction for all participants
• Church musicians will not pay fees (unless they are also an operator) and are welcome to learn
• A cancellation less than 7 days prior to the event will incur the $99 base training fee

**For church-based training, it is recommended that church musicians be involved so that participants can mix the church “house” band to ensure a more typical operational scenario.

Audio system Consulting

There are no surprises on an invoice received from ABP Audio.

Whilst we are happy to quote any job and will always charge only our quoted amount, you can engage us on a time and materials basis. We can ensure you get maximum value for your money.

With a fixed hourly rate of $99.00/hr # (inc. GST) and NO charge for travel within metro Melbourne*, any invoice will clearly show you how your money has been spent.
